How To Set Up Scansnap Ix500

Set up the ScanSnap that you purchased for the first time so that it is ready to scan with ScanSnap Home.

The post-obit preparations are required earlier you ready up the ScanSnap.

Downloading the Software

Installing the Software/Connecting the ScanSnap

1. Run the installer that you saved on your computer.

2. When the [ScanSnap Home Setup] window (Welcome to ScanSnap Dwelling house Setup) appears, click the [Next] button to start installing the software.

   Follow the instructions to install the software.

   

3. The window for selecting a model to be connected appears afterward the installation is consummate, select a ScanSnap model that yous want to connect so click the [Start setup] push.

   

4. When the [ScanSnap Home - Connecting ScanSnap] window (Connect the ScanSnap to your figurer) is displayed, follow the instructions on the window to connect the ScanSnap to a computer via a USB cablevision and click the [Next] push.

5. When the [ScanSnap Dwelling - Connecting ScanSnap] window (How to connect ScanSnap) is displayed, follow the instructions on the window to connect the ScanSnap to a computer via a USB cable and click the [Adjacent] button.

   • Do not utilize a cable other than the supplied i to connect to the ScanSnap. Using other cables may crusade a scanner failure.

6. Follow the instructions on the window and open up the ADF paper chute (cover) of the ScanSnap to plough the power on, then click the [Next] button.

14. When the [ScanSnap wireless network setup] window appears, select whether to configure the Wi-Fi settings for the ScanSnap.
